Manzoni

★ 3/5 · AI Application

Manzoni is an AI writing assistant and editor that helps authors and copywriters draft, restructure and polish text while keeping their own voice.

Pros

Runs AI models locally on Mac (privacy-focused)
supports uncensored open-source LLMs
distraction-free writing interface
no data sent externally

Cons

Mac-only application with no Windows/Linux support
pricing model unclear (available on Setapp but standalone pricing unknown)
limited to writing use case

Cost

A free plan covers every feature and update but caps you at 3 editor documents and 10 assistant requests a day; the Lifetime licence is $59 as a one-time payment and lifts those caps to unlimited documents and unlimited assistant requests, with no subscription and no token costs.

Verdict

Best for Mac writers prioritizing data privacy and using uncensored local AI models for composition.
