Hunyuan
Hunyuan is Tencent's foundation-model family — Hy3 and Hy4 for text and agents, plus image, video, OCR and 3D generators — served to international developers through Tencent Cloud's TokenHub gateway from a Singapore region. TokenHub is an OpenAI-compatible endpoint that puts Hunyuan on the same key and bill as DeepSeek, Kimi, GLM and MiniMax.

- Hy3 is one of the cheapest 256K-context models on the market at $0.132 per million input tokens and $0.528 per million output for a 295B-parameter MoE with 21B active, and the newer Hy4 Preview adds a 1M-token window and stronger agentic execution at $0.834/M input and $2.501/M output with cache hits at $0.042/M. Pricing is published in plain USD, new accounts get up to 1 million free tokens valid 90 days, monthly credit plans start at $7, and Tencent publishes open weights for Hy3, HunyuanVideo, HunyuanImage-3.0, Hunyuan3D-2.1 and HunyuanOCR on GitHub and Hugging Face, so the text and media models can also be self-hosted.
Cons
- Hunyuan's own portal at hunyuan.tencent.com is Chinese-only with no English toggle, and there is no dedicated English Hunyuan product page — you enter through a multi-vendor gateway that foregrounds third-party models as much as Tencent's own. Hy4 is still labelled preview, international serving is Singapore-region only, and the subscription tiers are quoted in opaque credits and 'Q&A rounds' rather than tokens

Verdict
Best for developers who want a cheap long-context Chinese model on a single OpenAI-compatible key with the rest of the Chinese frontier alongside it, and for anyone who needs Tencent's genuinely strong video, image and 3D generation in the same account — accept the multi-vendor gateway as the front door, because Hunyuan has no English one of its own.
